hollywood's sweet tooth

The common perception of entertainment folks is that they don't eat. The truth is that they actually do...as long as what they're eating is trendy. I have now been through at least four phases of hot office party/gift basket fads, and their influence continues to amaze me. Since August, it's been all about Sprinkles. Every event calls for cupcakes, and if you are unlucky enough to have ice cream cake (sooo last year!) at your cubicle celebration you're not going to get the turnout you wanted, and thus, the promotion you've been after. Your life will be ruined by Ben and Jerry, on your birthday.

The "Sprinkles revolution" we're experiencing right now also makes me wonder, whatever happened to Snookies ('02) and Deluscious ('03)? Have they sugar-coma-ed their last exec?
