for real, y'all
Is it possible to watch an episode of Friday Night Lights without tearing up at the very least and, more often than not, full on crying? How did they make football so girly and sensitive? And why aren't more of you watching? Ladies, let me tell you...there are hot fellas on this show. And guys! Guys! You know that thing at the end of Field of Dreams, where Kevin Costner and his dad "have a catch" and you get all choked up? That's what this show is like! It's for you! It's for all of us! Bring it back for another season, NBC!
And while I am entreating networks to do things like support quality programming, dear God CBS, put Creature Comforts on the air. I miss work, and the money associated with it.

Is this the denial stage of Grieving?

I love Friday Night Lights and I do get choked up, a little. Chauncey hates it, but watches the football scenes and then complains that what just happened would never happen in a real game.

Not just that it wouldn't happen, but that despite the far-fetchedness, it was all entirely predictable and sad because of it (in a woman show kind of way).
The show is pointless... and I am sorry for all the "men" who are associated with it...

Well, it is the best reviewed new show of the season, so I'll just respectfully disagree.
Though I will concede all the football comebacks are pretty hilarious.

And I will concede that when wheel chair guy got caught hooking up with tat girl by cheating dad's cheating daughter.. I was happy. Although a 17 year old, wheel-chair bound, high school drop-out as quarterbacks coach is a bit insane... especially when he led the team meeting following the season like he was the next head coach. What.. the team had no other REAL assistant coaches to lead that meeting?

He's really paying a LOT of attention for someone who "hates" the show.

It really bothers me that Friday Night Lights isn't on Friday. It's a weird mental block.
