6:13 AM: Jack "Jesus Bauer" sees his greasy unshaven self in the mirror, can barely speak, is ready to die.

6:58 AM: BITES A MAN TO DEATH.

7:36 AM: Wistfully looks to buddy/terrorist Assad, whispers "I don't know how to do this anymore".

7:54: Kicks an exploding man out of a subway car.

Just who is Jack Bauer? Is he tormented and wobbly? Or is he an unrepentant badass? And how many times can he flip in just 100 minutes? Does it even matter? (no).

Tonight: a single tear trickles down Jack's face as he stitches Kim some forget-me-nots on tapestry wool, then uses the needle to flay a man whose superiors have told him just enough to keep the narrative going.
