third time's the charm
It has been predicted here twice before, but today I am right. Elliott Yamin is going home. And for that, I blame Paula. Sure, she picked a song that had Elliott's vibe and soul, but it was boring. Meanwhile, Taylor got to get all boo-hooey with a Joe Cocker classic and Katharine did what she does best: slink around on the floor.
Clive could have saved it all with a different Journey song. It's clear that a performance of Don't Stop Believin' would have rendered the rest of the competition irrelevant, immediately crowning Elliott the champion of the world as Katharine and Taylor sobbed under an unexpected deluge of confetti. But no, Clive had to go with Open Arms instead. Poor Elliott, he was so close.
