rating the oc's new characters
You'll have to forgive me. I don't know (or care to know) their names yet.

Grade to Coolness Scale:
A- you start three or four different fistfights, each of which displays an underlying economic/geographic tension between you and your sparring partner, in the guise of a clever phrase
B- you are airlifted out of tijuana
C- your dad is gay
D- you move to pittsburgh with anna
F- ew!
Smartypants: Mr. Schwartz. You're above this kind of nonsense. Yeah, yeah, Ryan and this girl hate each other soo much, and then one day a switch is flipped and all that hate turns into passionate crazy sex. We know. We see it from a mile away, and we're not digging it. Still, props for bringing in an Andrea-esque character, without going all bad-perm soccer-mom on us. Grade: C
Yard boy: Excellent! Short, squarefaced, and judging by the wide shots, 35. Still, he's the only open-shirt we'll welcome (you hear that, Tate?). Most importantly, his character has got the luck of the Coop. As much as we hate to admit, everything Mischa touches on this show turns to gold. Recklessly drunk, mini-skirt wearing, chair-throwing gold. Grade: B+
Senator's Son: Yeah sure, he's just like Seth. Only boring and nondescript, with a head of unruly 90's hair. At this point, I'm not sure why Summer is even waffling between Cohen and this boringly earnest Jack and Bobby reject. Spice him up, or ditch the love triangle storyline. Grade: D
Flock of Seagulls: The wildcard left among this bunch. Obvs, she's "super-punk" in that ridiculous "i'm on tv and this is how punk looks on tv" kinda way, but what else do we know? That she's "17"? Ha! I like to imagine her as a distant relative of Trask, who has come to tie up some unfinished business on his behalf. In reality, I'm guessing she'll be a Seth love interest, and I will, eventually, hate her. Imaginary Grade: A++ Reality: B-

What kind of scale are you rating them on, 1 to awesome?

Don't knock 90s hair. It has and will continue (god willing) to serve me well.

Flock of Seagulls. Brilliant! I want to see her get into fights and beat the hell out of people. Luckily, this is The O.C., so that's entirely possible, if not imminent.
I also dislike the senator's son and the smart girl. She's a heinous bitch, but not in that evil Shannon Doherty style. I prefer evil.

of course the yard boy is forgotten completely, so he isn't really a new charater, but other then that the 3 other new characters rule. This season is so spicy hot that I am laughing my head off and crying my eyes out every episode. What a great show and SUCH a great seaon for the oc!!!
